If your teeth make you self conscious, or making it hard to enjoy your favourite meals, it’s time to schedule a complimentary implant Assessment with Dr. Spyrakis.

When you first arrive at the practice, you’ll be greeted by our friendly receptionists, who will get you signed in, get you setup with your medical history forms, and answer any questions you might have.

In the meantime, here is everything you need to know in advance of your first visit…

How to find us and where to park

We recommend parking

On Albyn Street behind the practice (see the map). Albyn street has a 3hr council car park, and there is an entrance to the practice directly from the car park.

Parking at the front on Forest Road is only 30 mins

Coming via Public Transit?

Our office is about a 15 minute walk from Rockdale Train Station. Alternatively, there are buses running all the time, to bring you from the station up to Bexley.

When should I arrive?

We recommend arriving 10 minutes ahead of your appointment, so that you have time to fill out your medical history forms.

Frequently Asked Questions

They ask typical questions about your health history, so most people find that they do not need more than a few minutes to complete them fully.

What type of information will I need for my Medical History Form?

The Medical History Form covers basic patient information, including:

  • Health insurance information
  • Emergency contact information
  • Current dental concerns
  • Medical concerns, like heart problems, high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, and other conditions that could become relevant to future treatment
  • Known allergies (food, medicines, metals, etc)
  • And current medications

Don’t forget to bring:

  • Your Private Health Insurance Card (if you have one)
  • You emergency contact’s best phone number (in case of emergency)
  • And the date of your last thorough dental examination
  • A list of your current medications, so we avoid any interactions
What to expect with you see the dentist?

Depending on what is bringing you in to see us, your first appointment and what you cover with your dentist may vary.

But one thing we recommend for all new patients, whether you’re here for a routine checkup or a restorative dentistry consultation, is to have a new head and neck scan (OPG) put on file. These 3D scans allow us to have a baseline to measure any changes against (they’re recommended to be updated every 2 years), and if you are coming in for restorative work, a current OPG is a must, for treatment purposes.

If your first time seeing us is for a routine checkup and cleaning, you can learn more about that visit here.

What is Bexley Dental’s payment policy?

Payment is due at time of services, and is payable by cash, cheque, most major credit cards*, or bank transfer.

*Please note: at this time we do note accept Diners

Are there any payment options or plans available?

In addition to the options listed above, Bexley Dental works with AfterPay, which offers flexible payment options. Afterpay payment plans enable you to receive the treatment you require today and pay over time. With Afterpay you can spread out the cost of your treatment with no added interest, and no additional fees.

Other options include:

  • Zip Pay Visa which offers flexible payment plans on your dental treatments
  • DentiCare is an interest-free payment plan which allows you to pay for your treatment over 12 to 24 months. You can finance from as little as $500 up to $12,000 and will need a minimum 20% deposit towards the total cost of your treatment to get started!

If you would like to learn more about any of these options, please don’t hesitate to give us a call at

(02) 9567 4151, and one of our friendly staff will be happy to help!

Are there special offers for first-time patients?
We’re glad you asked! The importance of routine checkups and cleanings cannot be stressed enough. So for new patients, we’ve bundled everything you need into one new-patient check-up package:

  • A comprehensive oral examination
  • A professional clean
  • Fluoride treatment
  • An updated 3D panoramic neck/head scan
  • And a free oral care gift pack (toothbrush, floss, and mouthwash in a travel kit)

For patients without health funds, the total cost is just $350 (a $538 value).

Can I make an on-the-spot claim with my health fund?

Absolutely. For our patients’ convenience, Bexley Dental has a HICAPS terminal for on-the-spot claims under $10,000. This allows you to draw from your private health fund immediately, so that you only pay the “gap” costs out of pocket.

*Please note, our terminal can only process claims under $10,000. For claims above that amount, the invoice must be paid in full, and receipts taken to the health fund to claim the rebate.

What Health Funds are accepted at Bexley Dental?
Bexley Dental accepts all health funds, so you can be assured that you are covered. However, as a Bupa Members First Practice, our Bupa patients enjoy additional pricing benefits.
What is Bexley Dental’s cancellation policy?
We understand that sometimes you need to change an appointment. Life happens! We simply ask that you give us 24 hours notice, so that we may offer your appointment time to another patient.
